Bodo Delegation Meets Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi
New Delhi, July 8: A high-level delegation from Bodoland, led by BTR Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro and All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) president Dipen Boro, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi to review the status of the Bodo Accord’s implementation.
The delegation also included ABSU General Secretary Khanin Basumatary and Rajya Sabha MP Rwngwra Narzary.
Key issues raised during the meeting included the long-pending 125th Constitutional Amendment and the demand for the release of jailed NDFB(R) chief Ranjan Daimary.
The visit comes at a crucial time, as aspirations continue to build in the region over the full and timely implementation of the provisions under the historic 2020 Bodo Accord.
