Bodoland CEM Cup 1.0 Kicks Off in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar | July 4: The District-Level phase of the much-anticipated Bodoland CEM Cup 1.0, 2025 began today with spirited participation at the Simbargaon Higher Secondary School playground in Kokrajhar.

Organised by the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) government, the tournament is designed to encourage grassroots sports and strengthen youth engagement across the region. Twelve teams, representing each BTC constituency within Kokrajhar district, are vying for the title. The district champion will advance to the Council-level round of the competition.

Assam Cabinet Minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma inaugurated the tournament as the chief guest, underscoring the government’s commitment to fostering sporting excellence in BTR.

Prominent personalities in attendance included Kokrajhar MLA Lawrence Islary, Assam Olympic Association Vice President Kabiranjan Brahma, and SAI Kokrajhar In-charge Babul Basumatary, among other dignitaries.
