Eviction Alert || 40 Indigenous Bodo tribal families of Charidwar, Biswanath have received eviction notices from the Forest Department.

The notice, which directs the families to vacate their homes within 10 days for allegedly residing within a reserved forest area, has triggered sharp criticism from ABSU. The organization termed the move as “an unacceptable act of injustice” against the sons of the soil.

The development has sparked unrest among the affected indigenous tribal families and raised questions about the consistent implementation of land and forest rights for tribal populations in Assam.
