ABHIJIT KALITA, GUWAHATI, April 5: In view of the upcoming elections, a flag march and area domination exercise was carried out on Sunday in the Boko–Chhaygaon Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC) to strengthen security arrangements and ensure a peaceful electoral process.

 

The operation was led by Jankishore Gogoi, APS, Co-District Superintendent of Police, Boko–Chaygaon, in coordination with Yoginder Singh, Assistant Commandant and Company Commander of the BSF’s G-144 Battalion. The exercise also saw the participation of the Officer-in-Charge of Boko Police Station, along with personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Uttar Pradesh Police.

 

During the exercise, the joint team covered several sensitive areas, including Dakuapara, Raipara and Tepsia. The initiative aimed to instill a sense of security and confidence among residents, while reinforcing preparedness to maintain law and order.

 

Officials stated that such coordinated exercises are being conducted regularly to deter any unlawful activities and to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the elections.
