Khanamukh Forest Beat office distributes saplings

Palasbari,July 8: As part of the concluding programme of the 76th edition of Van Mahotsav week, which began on July 1 across Assam, the Khanamukh Forest Beat Office under the Guwahati forest division organized a tree sapling distribution drive on Monday.
The distribution was carried out at three locations -in front of the Assam Forest School in Jalukbari, and also in Adabari and Maligaon. Led by beat officer Jintu Talukdar, a team of forest personnel distributed around 250 saplings to interested members of the public for plantation at their respective homes.
The saplings included native species such as Arjuna, Bheira, Silikha, Amla, Mahanim, White Sandalwood, and Jamun, all chosen for their compatibility with the local climate and environment.
In addition to distributing the saplings, forest officials also guided recipients on proper planting techniques and post-plantation care to ensure healthy growth.
