Tata Institute of Social Science in a recent development has introduced its first ever gender neutral hostel in the Mumbai campus.
As a result of consistent effort by Qeer Collective, an informal student body advocating safe space for the LGBTQ+ students of TISS, the institution has introduced a gender nutral hostel inside it’s Mumbai Campus in April this year .
This pioneering decision of TISS is not only setting an example towards a more liberal society, but also it has opened doors for many other institutions of the country to follow this movement.
