Assam’s Sangita Bora has been appointed as National Assistant Secretary for Council Of Information & Broadcasting India.
Council of Information and Broadcasting is a non profit body established by the ISWF as the leading organization in the integration of media and the conduct and discipline of journalists.
Sangita Bora is also a member of CBFC (Central Board Of Film Certification).
CBFC-A statutory body under the Union ministry of information and broadcasting. Came into being with the implementation of The Cinematograph Act of 1952. The rules were revised in 1983. Consists of a chairperson, a chief executive officer, regional officers and board members, all appointed by the government.
