With a view to create strong brotherhood and eliminate discrimination among all the community residing in the society and neighborhood state a friendly match entitled “Youth Congress Championship Trophy-2019” organised by Kokrajhar District Youth Congress here at Haraputa Mission Playground on 20th March around 12 pm followed by Adivasi Cultural traditional dance performed by school students.
Mominur Islam, MCLA of No. 2 Guma Constituency was chief guest of the trophy. The final match was played between the guest team Barobisha (Bengal) vs KYC Host team Youth Congress.
Winning the toss Barobisha elected to bat first and set a small and easy target of 69 by losing all wicket. On the other hand Kokrajhar Youth Congress played the match smartly and clinched the trophy. Bishnu Roy declared as the Man of the Match for his brilliant performance.
The winning team (KYC) received an award of Rs. 15000 whereas the runner up team received Rs. 8000.
Besides the spectators and chief guest, dignitaries like Bimal Mandal (Kokrajhar, APYC, president) Azizul Hoque (State coordinator, APYC) and Sher Ali Sarkar (President, KDYC) were also present.
