Ajmal Foundation on Sunday announced that it will felicitate the first three rank holders of all the three streams with Rs. 1 lakh each. The foundation today presented a cheque worth Rs. 2 lakh as financial assistance to Manik Ray, who secured 9th rank in the Higher Secondary examination 2019. Dhubri MP and chairman of the foundation Badruddin Ajmal felicitated Manik and handed over the cheque to him.
“The result Manik Ray is not only a matter of pride for his parents and teachers but also a source of inspiration for many aspiring youths of the State. We will also felicitate 13 students, who secured the first three ranks in Science, Arts and Commerce streams with a financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh each,” said a member of the foundation.
Notably, Manik was a student of the college, run by the Ajmal Foundation. He scored 466 marks and secured 9th position in Arts stream. He secured 88 marks in English, 93 marks in Assamese, 96 in Political Science, 93 in Education and 96 marks in History. The foundation also took the responsibility of Manik’s higher studies.
