The Assam Police has contributed Rs 75 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Director General of Assam Police Kuladhar Saikia, along with other senior police officers, handed over the cheque to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at the latter’s office chamber in the State Legislative Assembly here on Tuesday.
Receiving the cheque, the Chief Minister thanked Assam Police personnel across the State for their empathy with the people marooned by floodwaters in the State.
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Assam Police on behalf of the people of Assam for the benevolence shown towards the flood-hit people.
