GUWAHATI: Dibrugarh police gifted a bike to Assam girl Janmoni Gogoi, who became a center of attraction after her pictures and videos of selling vegetables in a bicycle went viral in social media and drew praises from the netizens.
Janmoni who is a resident of Saphakati of Bogibeel area completed her higher secondary education from Dibrugarh Government Girls’ HS School, sells vegetables at Borbaruah market to support her family.
After the nationwide lockdown was imposed by the Central government, she had no other option and started selling vegetables door to door on a bicycle.
Inspired by her self respect and guided by our visionary, Pallabi Majumdar, deputy superintendent of police (headquarter) of Dibrugarh gifted the young entrepreneur a bike on Monday.
