GUWAHATI: Assam State Transport Corporation(ASTC) buses will operate during the Chakka Bandh called by All Assam Motor Transport Association (AAMTA).
The information was shared by MD ASTC Anand Prakash Tiwari through a Twitter post.
Tiwari tweeted, “ASTC and Under ASTC buses will be operated as usual everywhere. we have requested to DCs/SPs to keep strict vigil and help us to ensure smooth operation tomorrow onward , in view of Chakka badh given by All assam motar transport Organization.”
It is to be mentioned that the All Assam Motor Transport Association (AAMTA) has called for an indefinite ‘Chakka Bandh’ from Monday to press their various demands. The association has demanded to increase the bus fares in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
