New Delhi: Bollywood actor Richa Chadha has been awarded the Bharat Ratna Ambedkar award 2020 for her significant contribution to Indian cinema.
The actor received the award from Maharashtra Governor, Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai.
“I will hold and cherish this honour for a long time in my life. When you haven’t had the guidance and have taken all your decisions by yourself, every award is a reiteration that you’ve done well for yourself”, wrote the actor in her post.
Thrilled to be among the recipients of the Bharat Ratna Ambedkar award, conferred upon me by the H’ble Gov of Maharashtra. Woke up to the greatness of Babasaheb late in life, due to caste privilege! Jai Bhim! Jai Hind! pic.twitter.com/4OZKnR8yNY
