Meghalaya: Night curfew imposed in East Khasi Hills

GUWAHATI:  The rising number of Covid-19 cases has led to some sensible authorities take precautionary measures. In view of this, the District Magistrate of East Khasi Hills District has issued a notice wherein it has been declared that there will be a night curfew imposed in the district from 10PM to 6 AM.

All shops and other establishments must close down by 9 PM.

The order has been passed ex-parte. Meghalaya today reported 26 news cases of Covid-19. Every traveller will have to carry a COVID-negative certificate, and if anyone is found exhibiting symptoms of the disease at the entry point might have to undergo the test again. The government has also stipulated one-week home quarantine for international travellers regardless of their test results, the official stated.
