Two girls from Manipur’s Ukhrul district Solimla Jajo and Solan Jajo represented India and made the country proud by securing top spots at the 54th Asian Body Building and Physique Sports Championships 2022 held at Maafushi Island in Maldives.
Solimla Jajo bagged the prestigious silver medal while Solan Jajo secured the fourth position at the event.
Solimla Jajo hails from Kasom Khullen in Kamjong district while Solan is from Leishi village. Both the girls have completed their class XII from Sacred Heart Higher Sec School and Alice Christian Higher Secondary School in Ukhrul respectively.
The duo were trained by the renowned bodybuilder and International medallist, L Robert Meitei, who is also the principal of Ukhrul Central School (UCS) at Royal Gymnasium located at Phungreitang in Ukhrul headquarters.
So far, Royal Gymnasium has produced 3 international athletes from Moreh and 3 international athletes from Ukhrul.
