1. Chandubi Lake

Deepor Beel, a long-lasting freshwater lake, was home to rare bird species. The Assam government established the Dipor Bil or Deepor Beel Wildlife Sanctuary in 1989 to protect many species of birds that live near the lake in Guwahati, Assam.
Kingfishers, fishing eagles, a multitude of ducks, Greater Adjutant Stork, Whistling Teal, Open Billed Stork, Shoveler, Pintail, Garganey, and a high concentration of Pheasant tail jacanas are among the most remarkable bird species present in the sanctuary. Herd Elephants from the nearby Rani–Garbhanga terrain pays us a visit every now and then. A forest department-built watchtower is located within the sanctuary. Country boats are also available for bird watching, with prices ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 200 for a couple of hours.
