Guwahati: Assam boys bags a silver medal in the 15th Sub-Junior National Roll Ball Championship held at at Jaipur, Rajasthan from 27 to 30 Dec.
Assam boys lost in final match against host team Rajasthan by 3-5. Before entering finals Assam beat MP 9-6, Gujrat 6-3, Chandigarh 19-1, RSSA 8-3 and lost against UP by 1-6 in the league.
In the quarter finals, Assam Boys defeated Jharkhand by 7-5. In the semi final match Assam defeated Maharastha by 6-4 and finally lost in the final match by 5-3 against Rajasthan.
Notably, Assam girls were out of the race in quarter final against UP in a long running match. The match ended in a tie 5-5 and moved on to extra time 6-6, after that the team lost in the Golden goal by 7-6.
Assam girls beat CG 3-2, Rajasthan 3-1 and walkover by Delhi.
