Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: Sai Pallavi, the actor, has firmly put an end to the swirling rumors of a secret wedding with director Rajkumar Periyasamy that gained traction after a viral picture circulated on social media.
The viral images depicted Sai and Rajkumar Periyasamy dressed in traditional attire, with red garlands adorning their necks.
Sai Pallavi has now clarified that the photograph is, in fact, from the mahurat pooja (auspicious ceremony) of her upcoming film titled ‘SK 21.’ She emphasized that the image had been intentionally cropped and disseminated with the assistance of paid bots and malicious intentions.
Taking to her X (formerly Twitter) handle on Friday, Sai Pallavi expressed her frustration, saying, “Honestly, I don’t care for rumors, but when it involves friends who are family, I have to speak up. An image from my film’s pooja ceremony was intentionally cropped and circulated with paid bots & disgusting intentions. When I have pleasant announcements to share on my work front, it’s disheartening to have to explain for all these jobless doings. To cause discomfort like this is purely vile.”
Previously, on Sai Pallavi’s birthday, Rajkumar Periyasamy had shared a few pictures from the pooja ceremony and conveyed his birthday wishes. He wrote, “Happy birthday dear @Sai_Pallavi92. You are the best, and May God bless you with everything that’s best as always! I feel blessed to have you too by my side in this! Thank you for being there.”
In other news, Sai Pallavi is reportedly set to star in a film alongside Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan. According to sources, the two actors have been cast in a love story.
“The preparation of Junaid’s untitled next has started. Sai Pallavi apparently will be the leading lady in the film. This will be Junaid’s next project, after his YRF debut film. A Sunil Pandey directorial, the film is touted to be a love story,” stated the source.
