In a gracious gesture, Bodoland Territorial Region Executive Member (EM) Wilson Hasda handed out financial grants to various religious institutions in the No. 3 Srirampur Constituency of Kokrajhar, BTR.
These grants are part of the ‘Alari Swrang Bithangkhi’ program initiated by the BTR Government to support religious institutions.
The list of beneficiary religious institutions (mostly churches) from No. 3 Srirampur Constituency includes:
- NELC No.2 Thakurpur.
- NELC Dingdinga (Bengali).
- NELC Joypur.
- NELC Kerappur.
- NELC Simoldohi.
- NELC Kembolpur.
- NELC Majadabri.
- North West Assam Baptist Church (NABC) Shyamaguri.
The EM wrote on Facebok, “Distributed cheques to several religious institutions of BTR under the Alari Swrang Bithangkhi scheme, today at No.3 Srirampur Constituency, Kokrajhar.
Under the leadership of Hon’ble CEM Shri Pramod Boro dangoriya, the BTR Government have been providing financial assistance to religious institutions in the Bodoland Territorial Region through this scheme.
Ex- EM Shri Lukhiram Tudu; GDC General Secretary Shri Utpal Soren; Srirampur Block President Shri Nicholas Hasdak; Youth and Primary leaders under Srirampur Block among others were present.”
It may be mentioned that through this scheme the BTR Government have extended financial aid to several religious institutions within the Bodoland Territorial Region.
