On 75th Republic Day, PM Modi’s Yellow Colour ‘Bandhani’ Turban is All About ‘Lord Ram’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is someone who is known for his style statement and selection of clothes for a grand event. The Prime Minister’s 2024 Republic Day look also became the talk of the town, as this time he was seen donning a yellow coloured ‘pagdi’, a tribute to Lord Ram.

The first glimpse of PM Modi’s this year’s attire was revealed as he arrived at the National War Memorial to pay homage to those who laid down their lives in the service of the nation before the Republic Day parade.

Dressed in a white kurta pajama, PM Modi wore a brown jacket amid the cold weather conditions in the national capital. The yellow-coloured ‘bandhani’ turban with a long tail stood out on the white and brown aesthetics donned by the Prime Minister for the 75th Republic Day celebrations.

Last year, PM Modi in efforts to portray the symbolic representation of India’s diverse culture was seen wearing a multi-coloured Rajasthani turban during the Republic Day ceremony.

Multi-coloured Rajasthani turban in 2023: Symbolising the diversity of India on the occasion of the 74th Republic Day, PM Modi decided to wear a multi-coloured Rajasthani turban with a long tail. While his turban was multi-colored, the PM chose black and white colour for the rest of his attire. He completed his look with a white stole.
