PALASBARI, March 18: An auditorium-cum-guest house was constructed in Rajapara area of Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC) in South Kamrup for the convenience of tourists visiting Chandubi lake. According to sources, the state government has allocated Rs 1 crore under 2016-17 budget for the construction of the auditorium-cum-guest house. It may be mentioned here that the foundation stone of this guest house was laid by the then Palasbari MLA Pranab Kalita On April 10 of 2017. It has been almost 6 years since the construction of the guest house was completed but the guest house was not released for the use of people. Already some of the materials of the building is being destroyed. Notably ,Chandubi is now an important destination for the tourists where a guest house is urgently needed in the area. Local and foreign tourists are arriving daily in the area. To overcome the difficulties of guest house this huge building was built but the administration itself has neglected the proper use of the building which were constructed by spending crores of rupees. It is worth mentioning that the local organisations have informed many times to the District Commissioner to open the guest house but till now the guest house is not released for the use of people. Locals urged to the Palasbari Circle officer Himadri Bora, Kamrup DC Keerthi Jalli , MLA Hemanga Thakuria , Tourism Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah and CM Himanta Bishwa Sarma to release the auditorium-cum-guest house as soon as possible.
