GUWAHATI,April 20: The Kamrup administration organised an election awareness rally ‘Vote Shikha ‘ today,April 20 in South Kamrup .
The rally started from the Haligaon High School under Palasbari Circle office.
After that the Kamrup DC Keerthi Jalli (IAS) and the administration team attended an awareness meeting at 31 no Dahali L.P School, Batarhat, where Anil Kalita, head teacher of the school welcomed the DC by a fulam Gamosa .
It may be mentioned here that the DC also visited many polling stations under South Kamrup.
DC Keerthi Jalli told Guwahati Times that the election awareness program was launched to ensure that 100 percent voters cast their ballots in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in Kamrup district.
The DC was accompanied by Palasbari Circle officer Himadri Bora among other officials.
