GUWAHATI,April 6: The Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati, has introduced another well-equipped Bullet Resistant QRT Vehicle on Saturday. It will strengthen the Aviation Security Group (CISF) to deliver the responsibility of safeguarding the aerodrome more efficiently than ever before.
It may be mentioned here that the previous QRT vehicle being the first in the entire Northeast region was introduced at Guwahati airport on 4th January of 2023. The vehicle is well equipped to counteract any attempt of sabotage or attack.
Handing over the key of the Vehicle to the CISF personnel at the airport, CAO Utpal Baruah says, ” Creating a secured environment for the airport, its property, resources and its personnel is one of our basic responsibilities as Airport Operator. We wish to comply with each requirement of ASG as mandated by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security. We introduced the first QRT vehicle last year and another one today. It will keep the team well equipped with high morale.”
Many senior officials from GIAL and CISF were present during the handing over ceremony.
