The annual day celebrations of the Army Institute of Nursing (AIN), Guwahati, held today at Narangi Cantonment. On the same day graduation ceremony for the 2019 batch and induction for 2024 was also organised at the event. The event was graced by Maj Gen RD Sharma, GOC 51 Sub Area (Chairman of AIN Guwahati) and Dr. (Prof) Ashok Puranik, Executive Director of AIIMS Guwahati.
Addressing the students, Maj Gen RD Sharma spoke on the importance of nurses in the life of every human being. He thanked all nurses for their roles during this pandemic and also enlightens the gathering and extends his best wishes to the fresh graduates and newly inducted nurses.
Mrs Kabita Baishya, Officiating Principal in her annual report informed that the Institute once again had 100% placement of the graduates in prestigious hospitals of New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Guwahati during the campus recruitment, which is indicative of the high standards of training and professionalism of this Institution.
The graduation ceremony marked the distribution of the academic excellence awards to the students. Ms Varsha Rani received the All Round Best Student award & Silver medal for standing second position. Ms Sumu Saikia received the GOC 101 Rolling Trophy for the Best Student in the Clinical Field. Ms Arti Kumari received Gold medal for standing first position and Ms Tanushree Singha received the Bronze medal for standing third position in the batch.
