Abhijit Kalita, Guwahati:Central Industrial Security Forces (CISF) unveiled an HR policy to make the force future-ready on Monday.
As per the policy, each personnel will have the opportunity to list 10 preferred posting locations, giving them a voice in decisions that profoundly affect their lives and families.
The new policy would allow personnel retiring within two years to get a posting out of three choices of location. Special preference to women employees and couple transfer cases, fixed timeline and schedule for issue of posting orders and choice-based postings for around 24 years in the entire service period considering their children’s education would be enforced.
The balance between regional representation and the All India character of all forces would be maintained at 60% and 40%, respectively. The new policy would also promote excellence in sports and multiple disciplines.
Also, a pool of domain experts will be created in at least 10 areas of Information Technology, including cyber security and data science, aviation security, training, battle craft, weapons and tactics, anti-drone solutions, and fire management. The Force members with the highest level of knowledge and skills will be identified, nurtured, and deployed as domain experts. They will be trained by the best institutions and tasked with developing and implementing a world-class security solution.
According to senior CISF officers, the new human resource (HR) policy, which will be implemented from December 31, is meant for non-gazetted personnel between the ranks of constable and inspector. It will impact more than 98 percent of the force that has a strength of 1.94 lakh, they said.
