AJP Demands CBI Probe into Alleged Gir Cow Scam in Assam, Writes to PM Modi

The Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to initiate a CBI investigation into alleged large-scale corruption in the Gir Cow distribution scheme implemented by the Assam government.

In an official letter to the Prime Minister, the regional party accused the state administration of gross irregularities and financial misappropriation, claiming that the project was carried out under the direct supervision of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and senior cabinet ministers.

AJP president Lurinjyoti Gogoi termed the alleged scam a betrayal of public trust and demanded immediate intervention by central agencies to ensure accountability and transparency.
