Karishma Kakoti from Assam bagged the Miss Congeniality VogueStr India 2023 title at VogueStar Fashion Week held at the luxurious Le Meridien Hotel, Jaipur from April 14 to 16.
The all-India fashion week cum beauty pageant was organised by VogueStar, which is an inclusive platform for women and by women supporting them to create their distinctive identities. Karishma was also among the top 5 finalists of the event.
Karishma is an interior designer by profession and also the owner of KA Group of Companies which includes- KA Design – An Interior Design Firm, and KA School Of Design, KA Bespoke.
Over 200 contestants from across India participated in the event, which aimed to create a unique identity for women and the women who support them.
The all-India fashion week cum beauty pageant showcased the best of emerging designers and state-level winners who competed against each other. Karishma was groomed and trained by Alison A Woodham and Kabita Kharayat, who presented her with the award. She spoke about the unique opportunity that the platform provided and how pageants allow women to showcase their beauty and intelligence to the world.
Karishma’s confidence and exuberance shone through in her answers to the judge’s questions, and she went on to win the top positions in her city, state, and eventually the national top five. Her presentation and answers won her the title of Miss Congeniality Voguestar India 2023.
Speaking about her experience, Karishma said that participating in the pageant was not a career choice but a passion of hers. As an interior designer, she is interested in aesthetics and how pageants give her the opportunity to present herself in the most aesthetic way possible. She also expressed her admiration for the entrepreneurs and models, especially women, she met during the event.
