Assamese tea ceremony at Golaghat
After successfully organising the first Assamese tea ceremony on February 1 last year by Arin Tea Private Limited, a Golaghat-based tea company, on the premises of a factory of the company in Golaghat, the company is also going to organise the same ceremony this time tomorrow.
As per the press note issued by the company, the Assamese tea ceremony will be held for second time at Pabhojan Tea Estate, a garden of the company situated at Borpathar in Golaghat district.
As part of the day-long event, an awareness programme on organic tea cultivation along with training will be organised by the Tea Board, followed by opening of a tourist lodge for tea tourism and inauguration of a tea academy and a tea lounge.
An open meeting too will be held on the occasion.
The company organises the tea ceremony to popularise and promote the customs and rituals of tea drinking in the Assamese society.
