Guwahati: From the vibrant hills of Mon, Nagaland, to the national spotlight of Miss Grand India 2025, Ayuh W. Konyak carries with her a legacy of resilience, pride, and cultural richness. Selected as a finalist in this year’s prestigious pageant, Ayuh represents more than just beauty—she stands as a voice for young women from the Northeast, a voice that refuses to be overlooked.

“I was born in the picturesque and culturally profound district of Mon, Nagaland—land of warriors, heritage, and untold stories waiting to rise,” she reflects. Her identity is deeply shaped by her roots and her family. “I am blessed to be the daughter of Wangkhat Konyak and Nunngam Konyak. Their strength, love, and unwavering faith in me have been the roots from which I’ve grown.”

Educated at St. John Higher Secondary School in Mon and later at Unity College in Dimapur, Ayuh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree. While she is now a professional model, she considers herself first and foremost “an aspiring changemaker, committed to redefining beauty as authenticity, strength, and purpose.”

Her modeling journey began, not with privilege or prior experience, but with a mirror and a dream. “My journey began not in front of a camera, but in front of a mirror—where I first saw the reflection of someone who refused to be boxed by boundaries. With no prior experience, I stepped into the world of modeling with fierce determination.”

Navigating her aspirations from a traditional background wasn’t easy, but Ayuh found strength in her family’s evolving support. “Over time, my family embraced my passion with open hearts and unshakable faith. Their support became my strength—reminding me that love is the strongest foundation for any journey.”

As she reflects on the Miss Grand Nagaland journey that brought her to the national stage, Ayuh calls it “life-altering.”
“It taught me that pageantry is not just about beauty—it’s about presence, purpose, and voice. From intense training to meaningful friendships, from self-discovery to self-expression—it has been a journey of transformation.”

Now, as a national finalist, she understands the significance of the platform she stands on. “To be named a finalist is more than an achievement—it’s a responsibility. I feel honored, empowered, and deeply humbled. This is not just my moment; it’s a moment for every girl who dares to rise from a small town with unstoppable dreams.”

Ayuh’s passions stretch far beyond the runway. “I’m passionate about reading, dance, exploring fashion, and connecting with people from diverse walks of life. I also love volunteering for causes related to education, gender equality, and mental wellness—because I believe beauty should also serve.”

Representing Nagaland on a national stage is a role she embraces with care and pride. “I carry the soul of Nagaland within me—its fierce traditions, warm people, and rich cultural fabric. My goal is to present an authentic and dignified portrayal of my heritage through storytelling, traditional fashion, and lived experience. I want the world to feel the spirit of my state—not just see it.”

To the people of Nagaland—especially the youth—Ayuh offers a message rooted in encouragement and self-worth: “You are powerful, you are worthy, and your dreams are valid. Never allow where you come from to limit where you’re going. Stand tall, speak your truth, and rise together. The world is waiting for you.”

Her greatest source of inspiration? Her mother. “Her quiet resilience, her unwavering support, and her ability to face life with grace have taught me the true essence of womanhood. From her, I’ve learned that strength doesn’t always roar—sometimes, it whispers, and still moves mountains.”

Throughout her Miss Grand journey, Ayuh faced challenges that tested both her courage and character. “I faced the challenge of breaking cultural norms and standing out in a highly competitive space. I overcame it by staying true to who I am, carrying myself with confidence, and letting my purpose guide me.”

As she prepares to represent Nagaland on the Miss Grand India 2025 stage, her approach is grounded and holistic. “Mentally, I read, meditate, and visualize success. Physically, I follow a disciplined fitness routine. Emotionally, I stay grounded in my values and connected to my roots. I’m not just preparing for a stage—I’m preparing to represent a voice, a people, and a purpose.”

In Ayuh W. Konyak, Nagaland has found a powerful ambassador—graceful, grounded, and fearless. Her story is not only one of ambition but of identity, community, and a new generation of leadership.
