Bike Theft Gang Busted in Chirang, 3 Arrested with 5 Stolen Two-Wheelers

Kajalgaon (Chirang), 28 June: Chirang police have successfully busted a motorcycle theft racket based on a tip-off, arresting three members of the gang and recovering five stolen two-wheelers, including motorcycles and scooters.

The main accused has been identified as Sanswrang Brahma (26). His two associates, Mathuram Basumatary (36) and Birodh Mushahary (28), were also arrested during separate raids conducted in different locations by Chirang police.

Police have seized three scooters and two motorcycles from their possession. The gang had reportedly been involved in stealing two-wheelers across various parts of Chirang and Bongaigaon districts for a long time.

Chirang police stated that several other members of the gang are still at large and that efforts are underway to nab them soon.
