BTR Government Announces New Educational Initiatives for Student Welfare
Kokrajhar, 26 June : The Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) government has announced a set of student-centric educational initiatives aimed at promoting holistic development and ensuring well-being across academic institutions in the region.
Addressing reporters at the Bodoland Guest House in Kokrajhar, BTR Executive Member Wilson Hasda and BTC Education Director Jagadish Brahma said that the government, under the leadership of Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro, has undertaken several progressive steps for the academic and personal growth of students in BTR.
Hasda said Dermatoglyphics Multiple Intelligence Test (DMIT) will be made mandatory for all students from Class 5 to 12 in both government and private institutions across BTR. This initiative is aimed at helping students and parents identify inherent talents, learning styles, and cognitive strengths, thereby guiding future academic and career choices more effectively.
₹5 Lakh Insurance Coverage for Higher Education Students: Students enrolled in degree and postgraduate courses will be provided with an insurance cover of ₹5 lakh, offering financial protection in case of emergencies, ensuring peace of mind for families.
Compulsory Yoga Training in Colleges:
To foster physical fitness, mental wellness, and discipline, yoga training will be made compulsory for students in all colleges under BTR.
These initiatives reflect BTR govt commitment to nurturing a well-rounded and secure academic environment for every student in BTR,” Hasda said.
