BTR Govt. declares holiday on 6th October

The BTR Government declared holiday on 6th October for entrusted departments of BTC, under Kokrajhar, Baksa, Tamulpur, Udalguri, and Chirang district as a mark of respect to Lt. Karendra Basumatary who passed away on 3rd October, 2022.

The official notification stated, ” The Bodoland Territorial Council is pleased to declare the 6th October, 2022 as Holiday for Entrusted Departments of BTC in the Districts of Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa, Tamulpur and Udalguri as a mark of respect to Late Karendra Basumatary, Ex-President of ABSU, Ex-President of BPAC and Ex-MLA of Paneri Constituency & Mazbat Constituency due to his sudden demise on 3rd October 2022.

All Educational institutions, Government & Semi Government Offices under BTR will remain closed on that day.”
