Central Bureau of Communication, Guwahati organizes Special Awareness Programme on Pre-Yoga Day 2025

The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Guwahati under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, organized a special awareness programme on the eve of the International Day of Yoga 2025 at PCPS Girls Polytechnic College, Bamunimaidan, Guwahati. The event aimed to promote the significance of yoga for physical and mental well-being, aligning with this year’s theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”

The day commenced with an open quiz competition among students on the theme of Yoga Day. The enthusiastic participation reflected the students’ keen interest in yoga and its benefits. The winners were awarded exciting prizes on the spot, adding to the vibrancy of the event.

The programme witnessed the gracious presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Najrul Haque, Principal of PCPS Girls Polytechnic College, Shri Sankhapani Baruah, a faculty member of the college, Shri Pranab Kumar Nath, Assistant Director of the Press Information Bureau, Guwahati, and Yoga Expert Shri Madhusmita Goswami.

Cultural performances by the departmental artists of CBC, Guwahati, and students of PCPS Girls Polytechnic College added a vibrant and artistic touch to the event. These performances celebrated the essence of yoga and its harmonious connection with Indian culture.
The awareness programme was organised as a precursor to the grand celebrations of International Yoga Day on June 21, 2025.
