Civil Defence Mock Drill Conducted at LGBI Airport

Azara,May 7: A comprehensive Civil Defence Mock Drill was conducted at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport today.
This drill was part of the ongoing efforts undertaken by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, to enhance emergency preparedness and inter-agency coordination in the event of a civil emergency.


As part of the exercise, the Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) team at Guwahati Airport participated in a mock drill involving Indian Air Force and other government agencies during the scheduled runway maintenance period from 1330 to 1430 hrs.
Additionally, a mock evacuation exercise of the airport terminal and airside was conducted to simulate emergency response procedures in case of air raid.
This mock drill was designed to further strengthen the ARFF team’s ability to respond to complex fire and rescue scenarios in an airport environment.
