Construction work of Maligaon fly-over starts tomorrow; no vehicles allowed to move in AT road

GUWAHATI: The construction work Assam’s longest fly-over in Maligaon area of Guwahati will start from Sunday(October 11) shared Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Sarma tweeted, “PROUD that construction work for Rs 420.75 cr Assam’s longest flyover from Maligaon to Kamakhya Gate (2992 mtrs) starts on October 11, 2020.

Meanwhile, the main road(Assam Trunk Road) will remain empty and no movement of vehicles will be allowed for the day.

Guwahati Traffic Police said in a twitter post, “Traffic Advisory for 11th Oct, Sun from 8AM:
1.Vehicles coming from Jalukbari side to divert at Adabari Tinali via Pandu road & rejoin main (DG) road at Maligaon Charali.
2.Vehicles coming from Bharalu side going to Pandu allowed to take right turn at Mlgn Charali.”

It is to be mentioned that the fly-over will be built at a cost of 420.75 crore rupees.
