Drama Workshop Concludes Successfully at Jiakur

A week-long drama workshop concluded successfully at Jiakur No. 2 in Palasbari, drawing enthusiastic participation from young theatre aspirants. The workshop was organized by The Light of Drama School (Natyalo) in collaboration with Hem Chandra Choudhury Higher Secondary School.
The workshop, which began on July 3, was conducted at the premises of Hem Chandra Choudhury Higher Secondary School and spanned over eight days. As part of the closing ceremony, the participating children performed a play titled “Upolobdhi” (Realisation), which was met with applause from the gathered audience.
The valedictory function was graced by Dr. Sumi Thakuria, a faculty member of Chaygaon College and several other dignitaries including cultural activist Naba Kalita.
Prominent journalist Gagan Kalita also delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance of theatre in shaping young minds and fostering community engagement through the arts.
The day’s events included musical performances and dramatic presentations, delighting the audience and highlighting the talents nurtured during the workshop. The event ended on a positive note, with encouragement for continued participation in the world of performing arts.
