Education Minister Directs DCs to Review School Timings Amid Extreme Cold

GUWAHATI: In view of the prevailing extreme cold conditions across the state, Assam Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu has instructed all District Commissioners to assess the situation in their respective districts and take appropriate decisions regarding the rescheduling of school hours or closure of schools, as deemed necessary.

The minister stated that such decisions should be taken in line with the instructions and guidelines issued earlier during the heat wave, allowing district administrations the flexibility to act based on local weather conditions.
