EM Wilson Hasda Leads BTR Students on Transformative Space Education Tour to ISRO
Ahmedabad, Gujarat – In a significant step toward advancing science and space education in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), a delegation of ten bright students from BTR is currently on an inspiring educational tour to the Space Applications Centre (SAC) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Ahmedabad.
The delegation, led by Executive Member of BTR, Shri Wilson Hasda, and accompanied by Shri Nilutpal Kashyap (OSD, Education, BTC), aims to expose young minds to India’s cutting-edge space technology and research. The students, namely Miss Ribika Basumatary, Miss Nabashmita Daimary, Master Dhanajoy Barman, Master Kironmoy Barman, Master Juman Das, Master Rugung Muchahary, Miss Nikha Deka, Miss Monica Baskey, Miss Nirjala Mochahary, and Miss Baishali Ghosh, began their journey from Guwahati’s LGBI Airport, where they were seen off by Hon’ble Speaker BTCLA Shri Katiram Boro, Hon’ble MLA Shri Lawrence Islary, and MCLA Shri Pabitra Kr. Boro.

Under the guidance of SAC Director Shri Nilesh M. Desai, the students explored various aspects of India’s space research and applications. EM Wilson Hasda, who has been actively promoting educational opportunities in BTR, emphasized the importance of such visits in nurturing scientific curiosity and inspiring the next generation of space explorers.

The tour will continue with a visit to Gujarat Science City, where students will engage in interactive learning experiences. The initiative aligns with the broader educational goals of BTR to create avenues for students to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields and contribute to India’s scientific advancements.
