Governor attends life skills initiative at Assam Administrative Staff College
GUWAHATI,Feb 26: A life skills and career guidance programme was organised at the Assam Administrative Staff College on Thursday in the presence of the Governor of Assam Lakshman Prasad Acharya, bringing together educators, officials and resource persons working in the field of youth development.
Among the resource persons, Sumi Kalita participated as a Resource Person for Life Skills and interacted with students during the programme.
The event began with an interactive session focused on life skills education and career guidance for girl students. Resource persons engaged with participants, sharing their experiences, initiatives and the impact of life skills education at the grassroots level.
The session was attended by the Director of the Department of Women and Child Development along with several government officials and stakeholders associated with child welfare and education.
An exhibition stall was also set up during the programme, where educational curriculum materials, Magic Sheets, project work and ground-level success stories were showcased. During his visit to the exhibition area, the Governor interacted with the resource persons, who explained their work, methodology and the outcomes of life skills and career guidance initiatives.
The Governor appreciated the efforts undertaken to promote life skills education among young learners.
Overall, the programme provided an insightful platform for interaction, knowledge sharing and exposure, highlighting the importance of life skills education in empowering students and guiding their future careers.
