Grants-in-Aid Cheques Distributed to Beneficiaries in Sirampur

Sirampur, July 22: As part of its continued efforts to extend grassroots-level welfare, the Social Welfare Department of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) distributed one-time grants-in-aid cheques to eligible beneficiaries during a programme held today at the Sirampur Block UPPL Office.

A total of 10 beneficiaries received the financial assistance aimed at supporting widows, differently-abled women, women vendors, and individuals suffering from chronic or life-threatening ailments. The grants were formally handed over by BTR Executive Member Wilson Hasda and former MLA Hemendra Nath Brahma.

This welfare initiative, spearheaded under the leadership of BTR Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro, reflects the BTC administration’s commitment to ensuring inclusive and compassionate governance for the region’s most vulnerable sections.

The programme witnessed the presence of local residents, party workers, and welfare officials, marking yet another milestone in the BTR government’s mission to build a more equitable society.
