Women’s Football match to promote IWL.

Six teams in U12 category fought it out in 10 exciting final round matches on the 9th match day of ongoing second season of Greater Guwahati Baby League (GGBL), Assams’ first ever golden baby football league recognized by All India Football Federation (AIFF) on 27th January.

Final round of U12 category started on 26th January with a friendly match between UKS Girls Football team and GGBL combined girls team to observe 71st Republic Day, National Girl Child Day as well as to promote Hero Indian Women’s League (IWL) at the International School, Nalapara.

Baby League Manager of All India Football Federation Mr Deepak Nayak, International Taekwondo player and gold medal winner at SAG Games Harsha Singha and prominent Women Football Coach Mr Bitu Das were present on the occasion along with Guwahati City FC (GCFC) directors Siddhartha Sankar Deka, Darick Ranjan Deka, Kaustab Chakraborty and GCFC Youth Coach Bitupan Sonowal. The league which is being organized by GCFC and Sportscraft Management in association with WAMUL (Purabi Dairy) and supported by Assam Football Association, Indian Oil Corporation-Servo, Decathlon Guwahati, Rmanam Infotech and Gupshup 94.3 FM, saw Chandmari Turtles, Manomay Deers and Khanapara Pegasus securing top three positions of the table of U12 after first match day of Final round matches, told a statement released by GCFC.
