Indian Awaz Foundation & CSDD Launch ‘One Center – HaqDisha’ in Kokrajhar
Empowering Youth-Led Digital Service Hubs in Srirampur
Kokrajhar, August 8, 2025: The Indian Awaz Foundation, in collaboration with the Council for Social & Digital Development (CSDD), has officially launched the ‘One Center – HaqDisha’ initiative in three VCDCs of the Srirampur area — Polashguri, Thakurpur, and Srirampur. The centers were formally inaugurated by Shri Wilson Hasda, Executive Member, BTC, alongside the directors of both organizations.

This initiative marks a transformative step in making essential government services and entitlements accessible to residents in remote locations, while simultaneously creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for local youth.
Each One Center is equipped with a computer, printer, and necessary peripherals, operated by a trained youth representative selected through the Sankalp Youth program — an earlier Indian Awaz initiative that engaged young people across 13 VCDCs to understand their aspirations and challenges.
Unlike free aid models, the HaqDisha approach ensures self-reliance by enabling youth operators to charge a nominal service fee, allowing them to generate income while keeping services affordable for villagers. This model supports both digital empowerment and rural entrepreneurship.

Speaking at the launch, Md. Nazim Ahmed, Founder & Director of the Indian Awaz Foundation, said:
“The One Center – HaqDisha initiative is not just about access to services; it’s about putting the tools of empowerment directly in the hands of rural youth. This is how we bridge the gap between aspiration and opportunity.”
Dr. Syed Sultan Kazi, Director of CSDD, emphasized the long-term vision:
“By combining local leadership with basic digital infrastructure, we’re building a community-owned model that can be replicated across the region.”
Shri Wilson Hasda, who has championed youth-focused development in the BTC, added:
“When we invest in the capacity of our young people, we invest in the future of our entire community. The One Center model will open new doors for thousands of citizens in our rural areas.”
The One Center – HaqDisha is expected to directly benefit hundreds of residents per month in each VCDC, offering services such as government scheme applications, essential documentation, and other digital facilities. Plans are already underway to expand the initiative to more locations in the coming months.
