On Monday, officials from the Assam forest department found the carcass of a full-grown rhino in the Kathpara forest camp area of the Bagori range in Kaziranga National Park.
The Assam forest department officials discovered the rhino’s carcass in the Kathpara forest camp area of the Bagori range. The rhino had been killed around 4-5 days ago, and poachers had stolen its valuable horn.
Earlier in January 2023, the Assam government claimed, no rhino poaching incidents were reported in 2022, giving hope to conservationists, their efforts to protect these animals were having a positive impact.
