Kristi Shines at OIL-AITA Super Series National Ranking Tennis Tournament

Guwahati:NRL-based tennis standout Kristi Haloi, a trainee of Orange Ball Tennis Academy, delivered an outstanding performance at the recently concluded OIL-AITA Super Series National Ranking Tennis Tournament, organized by the All Assam Tennis Association under the aegis of the All India Tennis Association (AITA).

Kristi dazzled spectators and opponents alike with her exceptional skill, grit, and maturity on the court. Competing in both the Girls Under-12 and Under-14 Singles, she reached the finals in both categories, showcasing her ability to perform at a high level even against older and more experienced players.

In the Under-14 category, Kristi advanced to the finals after a notable semifinal victory over second seed Sanskriti Borah, underlining her competitive edge and composure under pressure.

In the Under-12 Singles final, Kristi fought a hard-fought battle against Meera S. Chaudhary in a thrilling three-set encounter. Despite her spirited effort, she narrowly lost with a scoreline of 7-6, 1-6, 6-7.

Her remarkable campaign was crowned with a championship title in the Girls Under-12 Doubles, where she teamed up with partner Anisha M Cornelio to clinch the title.

Kristi has proven herself as a rising star in the junior tennis circuit. Her achievements not only highlight her immense talent but also reflect the results of dedicated training, discipline, and passion for the sport.
