Life Imprisonment in Tangla Double Murder Case
Udalguri, June 30: The Udalguri District and Sessions Court has sentenced Neeraj Sharma to life imprisonment in connection with the gruesome double murder that took place in Tangla on December 20, 2024.
Neeraj Sharma brutally murdered his two brothers by slitting their throats. After a swift trial that concluded within 6 months and 9 days, District and Sessions Judge N.S. Dewri pronounced the verdict.
In addition to life imprisonment, the court also imposed a fine of ₹30,000 and directed a compensation of ₹10 lakh to be paid to the victims’ immediate family.
