Loan Mela Held in Tamulpur: ₹42.7 Crore in Loans Sanctioned, ₹37.2 Crore Disbursed on the Spot

Tamulpur, July 18: The Quarterly Loan Mela under the flagship initiative Tamulpur Gold was successfully organized today in Tamulpur district.

A total of 931 loans amounting to ₹42.7 crore were sanctioned during the event, of which ₹37.2 crore were disbursed on the same day.

The sanctioned loans covered a wide range of sectors and schemes, including:

  • SHG and individual loans under ASRLM
  • KCC Loans under the departments of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Fishery
  • Loans under PMFME and PMEGP through the Industry Department
  • Mudra and Weaver Mudra Loans under the Handloom & Textiles Department
  • Loans under the PM-Surya Ghar Yojana via APDCL
  • Education Loans, Housing Loans under Apun Ghar, and others.

The ceremonial event was chaired by District Commissioner Pankaj Chakravarty and attended by senior officials and stakeholders. More than 500 beneficiaries took part in the mela, which also saw active participation from leading banks such as SBI, AGVB, UCO Bank, and Central Bank of India.

Informative stalls set up by various departments and banks helped raise awareness on credit-linked government schemes, providing guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs and individuals in need of financial assistance.
