The ferry services between Majuli and Nimati have been suspended indefinitely due to heavy rains and the rising water levels of the Brahmaputra River.
Following incessant rainfall in Assam, the water level of the Brahmaputra river is rising.
The administration informed that the suspension will remain effective till further notice.
