More than 23 people die of starvation while waiting for their Adhaar Cards

More than 23 people have died of starvation so far due to the new biometric Adhaar process in the country.

According to a survey done in Jharkhand, the Malhari community is one of the communities to be victimised of the new biometric Adhaar system, as the handwritten ration cards which they were previously using, have been replaced by the new biometric Adhars to weed out the fake ones.

Since the government is delaying the process of issuing the new Adhaar cards, many have been going through fatal starvation. Because, these people are totally dependant on the government ration cards for their subsistence
