GUWAHATI,July 25: The Indian Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (ISVIR) is all set to launch its much-anticipated North East Chapter during the Midterm ISVIR Meet 2025, scheduled to be held tomorrow ( Saturday) at Hotel Kiranshree Grand in Guwahati.
The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and State Health Minister Mr. Ashok Singhal. The Midterm Meet is expected to witness the participation of over 300 Interventional Radiologists from across India, coming together for academic exchange, collaboration, and regional advancement of the field.
Interventional Radiology (IR) is a rapidly growing medical specialty that relies on imaging techniques to carry out precise, minimally invasive procedures for a wide range of conditions—from cancer to vascular disorders to medical emergencies. IR procedures are known for quicker recovery times, reduced pain, and fewer complications.
With the official launch and academic sessions lined up, tomorrow’s event is poised to mark a new chapter for Interventional Radiology in the Northeast region and beyond.
