Noted social worker Ananta Kr Das passes away

PALASBARI,March 3: Ananta Kumar Das , a noted social worker of South Kamrup untimely breathed his life on Sunday at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital.He was 76.
Das had been suffering from myasthenia gravis for the past several months and was receiving treatment at Apollo International Hospital in Guwahati.
Various organisations have mourned Das’s death. His body was taken to the Tiniali Club office, where club members workers present and paid their last respects.
It may be stated here that he was involved with Sanmilit Tinali Sangha, Tiniali Durga Puja Committee, Shyama Puja committee, Menapara Rajigarah, Na Colony Vishnu Mandir committee, Maharajat Jayanti Committee of South Kamrup Vidyapeeth High School and many other organizations.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, daughters-in-law,grandchildren and a host of relatives.
